Former managing director of Virgin Media Television Pat Kiely has announced the official launch of BiggerStage, a new television production, talent management and commercial partnerships business aiming to create world class programming from Ireland.
The company has been created to develop original content for the global market and showcase Ireland as a leading hub for international television production. It will represent major established talent in broadcasting and entertainment as well as offering a development programme for future stars. BiggerStage will partner with industry stakeholders, including advertisers, to develop what it says will be new ways to fund and scale the audio-visual sector as well as offering market benefits and incentives in Ireland.

Bank of Irelandconfirmed on Monday it is closing 103 branches on the island of Ireland, reducing its network in the Republic by about a third and its locations in the North by more than half, as Covid-19 has accelerated a shift in the industry towards digital banking.
Essential businesses that have been allowed to open in Dublin city centre are at risk of collapse, traders warn, because tourist and worker footfall has collapsed but they are still not allowed avail of the Covid Restrictions Support Scheme. 01 Mar 2021 : News Desk Pat Kiely, Sean ORiordan, Jamie Macken, Jane Russell of BiggerStage. BiggerStage, Irelands newest media and entertainment venture is founded by Pat Kiely, former Managing Director of Virgin Media Television.
Kiely is joined by Sean O’Riordan, formerly of the BBC and London-based Betty (part of All3Media), Jamie Macken previously of advertising agency Core and RTÉ, and Jane Russell, founder of Outlaw Management, who joins BiggerStage with an existing roster of notable talent. Each will bring a wealth of experience in their respective areas of producing content, building commercial partnerships, and developing talent.
Headquartered in Dublin, BiggerStage is opening an office in the UK later this month and is currently in discussions with a number of US agencies to establish BiggerStage’s presence in North America.
