Wheeling Country Club Announces Rich Conwell as New General Manager | News, Sports, Jobs

Jan 9, 2021 WHEELING ­– Wheeling Country Club announced Friday the hiring of Rich Conwell as the country club’s General Manager and PGA Golf Professional. Conwell will oversee all aspects of the club’s operations including golf, golf outings and tournaments, tennis, dining and events including weddings and meetings. He will focus on creating legendary experiences for the club’s 250 families. “I am so excited that my all-encompassing career training has prepared me to lead Wheeling Country Club into a very bright future,” said Conwell. “Personally, it is a great opportunity to do what I love to do close to home and to continue the new era of the club that has undergone so many recent improvements.”

UNIVERSITY PARK Penn State has a new offensive coordinator another new offensive coordinator. James Franklin announced a coaching staff change with the hiring of Mike Yurcich as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach and the departure of Kirk Ciarrocca. A press release was issued this morning. “First, I would like to thank Kirk for his contributions to our program last year,” said Franklin. “This was a difficult decision, but felt it was best for our program to make a change. We wish him and his family all the best in their future endeavors. “We are excited to have Mike join our staff,” continued Franklin. “He is an impressive offensive mind and talented playcaller who has set records everywhere he has been as an offensive coordinator. I look forward to seeing what he can do with all of the offensive weapons we have here at Penn State.
