A year ago, the Carolina Panthers struggled to get teams off the field on 3rd downs which had a lot to do with the secondary. Granted, the NFC South is loaded with top-notch receivers and QB play but the Panthers had issues that they couldn t fix in the middle of the season.
Injuries and a lack of depth at corner really hurt the defense at times throughout the course of the season which is why GM Scott Fitterer placed an emphasis on the third level of the defense this offseason. The cornerbacks room saw the most attention by signing veterans A.J. Bouye and Rashaan Melvin, then using the No. 8 overall pick on South Carolina s Jaycee Horn. Later in the draft, the Panthers took yet another corner by taking Keith Taylor of Washington.

PITTSBURGH The Pittsburgh Steelers leave the field at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex for the last time this summer. As Organized Team Activities end, we look back at the best players in South Side over the last three weeks.
The Steelers have questions to answer this summer, and those answers begin to surface during the initial part of summer workouts. Looking back, ten names highlighted nearly 90 players who took the field.
Starting with
Tre Norwood, defensive back:
Replacing Mike Hilton might not be possible, but finding a new Cam Sutton could happen - and it starts with Norwood.
Norwood comes from Oklahoma as a sixth-round pick who played slot corner and safety. In Pittsburgh, he s playing both and seems to fit right in as a chess piece in the defensive backfield.

If the Bears are going to turn around their offensive fortunes, it might take plenty of David Montgomery broken tackles and Justin Field or Andy Dalton throwing off three-step drops.
At least this is the opinion of Pro Football Focus, because the analytical website doesn t see much blocking coming from the offensive line for a while anyway. They have rated the Bears offensive line 27th out of the league s 32 teams.
In an article by Steve Palazzolo, PFF deemed the Bears line an uncertain situation due to the tackles. The big question for the Bears is the tackle position, where they got league-average play for several years, Palazzolo wrote for PFF. Until that is answered, this looks like a bottom-10 offensive line heading into 2021.
