We re also pretty sure we recall that the ZZ Top band members did some bowling at Yankee Lanes on Riverside Street after they rocked the Civic Center. How cool would that have been to be rolling big balls with those legends in the house?

Creatures of the Night/10th Anniversary tour came to Blimpville. It was January 21, 1983 and it was the last appearance with makeup here in Portland until the return of the klassic
Kiss with Peter and Ace in 1997.
Along with Paul and Gene, this version of Kiss included Vinnie Vincent on guitar and Eric Carr on drums.

This was Portland s live introduction to Ozzy s new guitar player,
Jake E. Lee. He joined in 1983 as the official replacement for Randy Rhoads. Brad Gillis of Night Ranger fame filled in until then on the Speak of the Devil Tour.
