Police departments in Cumberland County will serve as “Safe Trade Spots” for people meeting to exchange items from online purchases on sites such as OfferUp and Facebook Marketplace.
Bridgeton, Millville and Vineland police departments, along with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, are taking part in the program, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae announced in a press release.
Safe Trade Spots are marked, well-lit locations at each police station that have security cameras recording exchanges to deter criminal activity.

GRAY, Maine (AP) - A routine traffic stop in Maine led to the seizure of cash, guns and 500 grams of fentanyl, law enforcement officials said.
Three people were arrested following a traffic stop Sunday in Gray, and a fourth was arrested when police searched a motel room in Naples. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 80 to 100 times stronger than morphine.
Capt. Donald Foss of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department said the arrests reflect “the extent of the drug problem in the Sebago Lake area.”

Not to mention a bootlegger.
Here s What You Need to Remember:
While the M1 Garand rifle and the Thompson submachine gun were named for their respective designers, the M1 Carbine was not named for anyone in particular. Plenty of other “M1s” from the bazooka to steel helmet didn’t get the “Garand” treatment, but in the case of the carbine it has lead to confusion that it was just a smaller version of the main battle rifle.
However, another reason could be due to the fact that one of the weapon’s designers, David Marshall Williams later known as “Carbine” Williams was also a bootlegger and convicted murderer.

It was the afternoon of December 2. A hunter out for a deer was on federal reservation property adjacent to the sprawling Army base of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He had only driven his truck about half a mile up the soft dirt track road in the area between the Holland Drop Zone and Lake MacArthur when he found his path blocked by a gray late-model, crew-cab pickup truck. The vehicle appeared to have been stuck in the soft sand up to its rear axle.
