Using the QR code will help businesses such as hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, entertainment venues, condominiums, companies and factories among others to record the movements of customers, visitors and staff on their premises, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday. This system does not trace the individuals privacy, but it will be convenient for health authorities to find people involved if any COVID-19 positive cases are detected on their premises, Health Minister Mam Bunheng said in the statement.
