On June 12, 2020, CPSO detectives received a complaint against Sandra K. Ancelet, 48, Sulphur, in reference to her stealing from an elderly and disabled man she was caring for, according to CPSO spokesperson Kayla Vincent. According to Vincent, family members of the victim advised detectives they learned of multiple suspicious withdrawals from the victim’s account. During further investigation, detectives learned between September 2019 and March 2020 over $25,000 worth of suspicious checks had cleared the victim’s account. (KPLC) - Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were dispatched to a business in reference to an attempted burglary and property damage on HWY 1256 in Sulphur on January 7. After reviewing video surveillance during the investigation, detectives learned earlier that morning, between 1:40 and 2:10 a.m., an unknown white male attempted to pry open the doors to the business, according to CPSO spokesperson Kayla Vincent.

Spokeswoman Kayla Vincent says detectives received the complaint regarding Meaghan J. Boudreaux, 31, on Dec. 10, 2020. During their initial investigation, Boudreaux’s employer advised detectives that she had stopped showing up for work and that when an auditor reviewed their books they found several strange transactions.
