UWI-SRC receives grant

By: Gloriah• The UWI Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC, based at the St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago, has received a grant valued at US$17,150, to support the monitoring of the La Soufrière volcano.  This has come by way of the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF SPC), and will fund equipment meant to strengthen the monitoring network; rebuild existing monitoring sites; and provide backup equipment for this ongoing event.
