Science student takes Prime Minister’s Award National Scholar Kelcey Allen earned herself the Prime Minister’s award. Social Share The nation’s newest scholar and recipient of the Prime Minister’s award is Kelcey Allen, a science student and avid learner who is continuing her journey at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).    Allen’s name, given by her parents Selwyn and Jacqueline Allen, is one that has been plastered over the newspapers on multiple occasions over the years, always in relation to another success in her academic journey.   As a student of the Kingstown Preparatory School (KPS), young Allen placed third overall and second for girls at the Common Entrance Examinations with an average of 94.62%. Hers was the last year to sit the exam before the state switched to the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA).  

Scholarship winner has heart set on medical profession

Kyle DaSilva copped the 2nd highest national scholarship award for 2020 academic performance. Social Share The recipient of the second highest national scholarship award for 2020 academic performance, Kyle DaSilva, is on a path to become a medical doctor, and hopes to make an impact in St Vincent and the Grenadines(SVG) one day.    DaSilva is a consistent academic, excelling from a young age. As a student of the Richland Park Seventh Day Adventist school, he placed seventh overall and third for boys at Common Entrance. He was part of the last batch of students to take part in this examination before it was replaced by the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment(CPEA).
