Grace Conway missed Derry s two All-Ireland final appearances to date, but is brimming with excitement for the new season and said the ball is now in the players court.
When Derry lost the 2008 decider to London, she was part of the underage development squad and too young to be part of manager Mary Jo Boyle and Pearse McCallan s plans.
“Aine McCusker was in my year at school, but she had a December birthday and she played in full-forward in that All-Ireland Final. I was gutted, there was me and Nuala Brown.we couldn t have played, we were too young,” Conway looks back.

New Derry senior ladies manager Odhran McNeilly is excited and looking forward to putting his stamp on the squad when collective training resumes ahead of the new season.
With over 50 players on the provisional squad, he can sense an excitement in the county, but Covid-19 has restricted their preparations.
The Randalstown native, who is joined by Moneyglass man Benny Marron as coach, met the squad via a Zoom call earlier this month to put his plans to the girls.
Derry had one hand on the All-Ireland title in 2017 before a controversial Fermanagh penalty forced a replay they lost in Clones to the Erne side.

Mid-Prairie has presented a madrigal dinner for 27 years in a row director and vocal music teacher Collette McClellen performed in the first annual madrigal dinner in 1993, so she’s seen her fair share of performances.
2020’s dinner, however, was different for obvious reasons.
Tables were spaced further apart, guests squirted sanitizer on their hands before dining, and all of the students wore masks throughout the entire performance, except while eating.
