SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco police arrested a Fresno man late Saturday for allegedly shooting two men during an incident that took place on Drumm Street near the Embarcadero.
Police identified the suspect arrested as Tyler Gangell, 25, and booked him into San Francisco County Jail for suspicion of numerous violations, including committing two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place/vehicle, along with several other firearms-related violations.

San Francisco police arrested a Fresno man late Saturday for allegedly shooting two men during an incident that took place on Drumm Street near the Embarcadero.

77-year-old man hit by car in Merced, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) A 77-year-old man has been hospitalized after being hit by a car in Merced.
The Merced Police Department says it happened around 7:30 Saturday morning near Glen Ave. and E. 23rd. St
Police say they found the man lying in the road when they arrived. The man suffered moderate to major injuries and was flown to a hospital.
The victim s current condition is unknown. Authorities say the driver of the car stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
Turlock man arrested again for auto theft William Coelho
A Turlock man with a lengthy criminal record for auto thefts, was again arrested after being found in possession of three stolen vehicles.
On Tuesday the Stanislaus County Auto Theft Task Force learned of two vehicles out of Merced that had been fraudulently purchased. In both cases, William Coelho, 50, of Turlock was identified as the suspect who carried out the fraudulent purchases, according to StanCATT.
“StanCATT has worked numerous cases on Coelho and knew he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest,” the agency stated on Facebook.
On Wednesday StanCATT and Stanislaus County Sheriff s Office AG Crimes detectives were in the 2700 block of Lander Avenue in Turlock when they observed Coelho driving a 2016 Ford F-150. This vehicle had been reported stolen via fraud.
