Nobody must long for blinding stage lights and sweaty mosh pitters more than musicians. To stand onstage and perform is more than a means for a living. It’s therapy, a chance for artists to bond with a couple dozen or a couple thousand people.
An album plus a tour is the music industry’s most basic equation. A deadly virus erased half of it. With more time on their hands, artists put pen to paper and crammed recording studios to keep fans close while they socially distanced.
An endless list of excellent alternative songs from rising artists dropped during the pandemic keeping the spirit of music alive as well as connecting fans from a distance. To say that it’s been exciting to watch rising artists earn more listens on streaming platforms while continuing to engage with fans on social media would be an understatement.

A New Jersey township has fired a long-serving police officer who called Black Lives Matter demonstrators “terrorists” on social media.
Last June, veteran Hopewell Township police officer Sara Erwin wrote a Facebook post calling the group “terrorists” and criticising those who supported the movement online.

ANALYSIS/OPINION:
Last week, Apple announced it would be opening an engineering hub in Raleigh, North Carolina creating at least 3,000 jobs in machine learning, artificial intelligence and software engineering.
It’s good Apple is investing in America, however, the choice of North Carolina, a solidly purple state, is curious. Especially because Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook cited progressive politics not tax breaks, infrastructure, or climate to explain the company’s decision.
Democratic Gov. Rory Cooper said he spoke with Mr. Cook before the announcement was made and Mr. Cook said he was pleased North Carolina’s legislature had rolled back House Bill 2, a 2016 law that required transgender people to use the public bathroom associated with their birth certi
At the last meeting of the school year, the Associated Studentsâ board of directors voted Tuesday to urge Cal State Fullerton to reallocate funds from the University Police Department to mental health services.
The resolution, which passed 11-0 with six members abstaining, called for University Police to ban all aggressive police tactics, lethal firearms and excessive use of force during student events, student protests or any other campus affairs.
Prior to the meeting, Dave Edwards, ASI executive director, said in an email to the Daily Titan on Monday that ASI cannot defund campus police because the university funds the University Police Department.
This is no surprise for a group whose leadership is Marxist. The only way to impose communism (seizure of private assets) is by totalitarian means. History proves that.
But I can guarantee you that the corporate media will not report the BLM-Trump demand. We, however, will. See you beginning at six eastern time for the No Spin News.
