Google’s new shopping feature will let people virtually try on makeup, the company announced in a blog post. Another feature will show the products on various models.
Only lipstick and eyeshadow are part of the feature. It is also limited to a few brands, such as L’Oreal, MAC Cosmetics, Black Opal, and Charlotte Tilbury.
You can see what various shades look like on various skin tones.

To try it out, you can search for the line you’re eying. If it’s a supported brand, you’ll see a new card that shows a model, and the specific shade that they’re wearing.

According to The Verge s latest report, Google announced the latest feature in its new blog post. What s great about this feature is that you can use it to try popular brands such as MAC, BLK/OPL, L Oreal, and more!
Yahoo Finance explained that Google s new ability works just like an Instagram or Snapchat filter, which allows you to change your appearance with virtual makeup.

We ve reached the point where a lot of us have spent more time in our beds and on our couches than anywhere else this year, and as a result, online shopping has been at an all-time high. Google seems to understand this, too, which is why the tech giant is pulling something special out of its back pocket to make your at-home beauty shopping experience less of a pain.

Google will also be showing product recommendations from influencers in the mobile Google Shopping section and Discover feed.

Google is launching a digital “try it on” experience for some cosmetics-related queries using augmented reality, the company announced Thursday. It is working with data partners ModiFace and Perfect Corp to visualize thousands of eyeshadow shades and lipsticks from brands such as L’Oreal, MAC Cosmetics, Black Opal and Charlotte Tilbury. The feature is launching this week in the US.

How it works. When you search for certain eyeshadow or lipstick products on the Google app, the knowledge panel may contain a swatch of shades, which can be viewed on different models of varying skin tones.
