Black History Month is right around the corner, and we re doing our part to recognize history-makers in Alabama.
February is always a great month for me. Not only is it my birthday month(shout out to the Aquarius gang), but it s Black History Month.
As a new father, this year it hits harder for me. I want to make sure my son knows about the history of what black people have done around the world. This year we also get to learn about black history makers in the state of Alabama.
Honoring The Black History Makers Of Texarkana
Happy New Year! We are kicking off the year by preparing for Black History Month, February 2021. We know that black history runs deep in Texas and Arkansas. The twin city is filled with great African American leaders from the past, present, and future. I remember how excited I was to find out that Scott Joplin is from right here in TK.
Texarkana is filled with a rich history of great African Americans. The list is endless. However, we want to know who you feel needs to be recognized in our communities during Black History Month.
