South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission, Columbia, disclosed up to $495 million in commitments for the $35.6 billion South Carolina Retirement Systems investment portfolio.
The commitments were made in March and April, according to board documents from its April 15 meeting.
The council committed up to $200 million to AxInfra NA II, an open-end core infrastructure fund focusing on North America managed by
Axium Infrastructure.
In private equity, the council committed up to $100 million to Stonyrock Alt Fund I, which acquires general partnership stakes predominately in middle-market firms in North America and is managed by

New York-based private markets firm KKR closed its latest Asia-Pacific private equity fund, Asian Fund IV, at $15 billion a record for a fund focused on the region.
Roughly $1.3 billion of that total will be invested by KKR and its employees alongside the firm s limited partners, according to a news release Tuesday.
The $15 billion close exceeded KKR s target for the fund of $12.5 billion.
The fund attracted those record commitments in less than 18 months, at a time of unprecedented operational challenges for the industry caused by the coronavirus pandemic, a spokeswoman for the firm said.

South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission, Columbia, committed up to $355 million to five private equity funds and a private debt fund for the $35.6 billion South Carolina Retirement Systems investment portfolio, according to board documents.
The board disclosed the commitments, which were made December through February, at its meeting Thursday, including a $100 million commitment to Aberdeen Standard U.S. Private Equity IX, a private equity fund of funds managed by
Aberdeen Standard Investments.
