A new report has been published on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on women.
MPs have warned the UK Government it risks “turning the clock back” unless it starts assessing the impact of the pandemic on women.
The publication of the report comes ahead of a Holyrood members debate by Aberdeenshire East MSP Gillian Martin on Thursday to discuss the impact of Covid-19 on women and women-led businesses.
MPs on the Westminster committee have made more than 20 recommendations to government in the wake of the report, including making it easier for staff to get flexible working arrangements.

A “special place in hell” exists for parents who have the means to support their children but deliberately fail to do it, a former Tory minister said.
NIGEL Farage has visited the site of the proposed Barton Stacey camp as part of his series ‘Nigel Farage Investigates.” The Brexit Party leader visited the village after he said he had received an email from a resident regarding the plans, which will see an immigration camp built on the site of former army barracks near to the village if approved. He visited a number of locations within the village, including the church, village shop and trout fishery, as well as the proposed site itself. He spoke to the chair of the parish council, Nicholas Prideaux, who said that residents of the village were “understanding.”
