Tuesday, April 13, 2021 Joshua Anderson One of the three men arrested earlier this year in the 2018 murder of Christopher Alvard in his home near Eureka Springs confirmed to investigators that all three were involved in Alvard’s death, according to a probable-cause affidavit. Charles Hanna Joshua Lloyd Anderson, Charles Ky Hanna and Jason Hartley Helm, all of Berryville, were arrested on Feb. 8 — the three-year anniversary of Alvard’s slaying. Jason Helm Carroll County Circuit Judge Scott Jackson had ordered court documents in the case sealed, but rescinded that order on March 25. According to a probable-cause affidavit written by special agent Dale Bailey of the Arkansas State Police, family members became concerned when they couldn’t contact Alvard. Alvard’s mother went to his home on County Road 116 and discovered the front door had been kicked in and there was a large amount of blood on the front porch, the affidavit says.
