A roll-over crash in Carroll County sent the driver and occupant of a motorcycle to the hospital on Saturday, May 1.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when the Harley Davidson motorcycle travelled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The driver, 59-year-old Terry Crawford, of Carrollton sustained serious injuries, while his passenger, 21-year-old Skylar Walker, of Mendon was moderately injured. Both Crawford and Walker were transported to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. Saturday on Highway 65, south of Highway 24.

Carroll County Memorial Hospital will be hosting a Walk-In COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 12, at the newly opened Jefferson Medical Group’s Brunswick Medical Clinic, located at 807 E. State guidelines allow CCMH to vaccinate hospitals, long-term care facilities and residents, first responders, emergency services, public health infrastructure and high-risk individuals. High-risk individuals include anyone aged 65 and older, and any adults with cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD, heart conditions (such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, high blood pressure or high cholesterol), weakened immune system due to organ transplant, severe obesity (BMI>40), pregnancy, Sickle Cell Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus or individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome.
Marie Housel Dabner, 101, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
She was born August 25, 1919 in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Edward Glover and Maude C. Gordy Housel. On October 16, 1935 she was married to Melvin “Teddy” Dabner, who preceded her in death on March 22, 2008.
Marie was raised and educated in Sedalia and attended Mark Twain and Smith-Cotton High School. She was the first girl to work for Interstate Studio from 1934 to 1943. Later she was a photographic color artist for Lehmer Studio, Classic Studio and McVey Studio. She taught a Photographic Oil class at State Fair Community College for 2 years.
Carroll County Memorial Hospital has announced, one visitor, who meets the qualifications below, will be allowed to see patients in its inpatient care unit and emergency department, effective Wednesday, February 17.

Visitors help boost our patients’ morale and healing process,” said Cindy Gilman, CCMH Chief Nursing Officer. “In return, we are hoping this revised policy will help ease some stress on the patients’ loved ones.
