Carson and Noem offered an understandable maybe even compelling argument for teaching “inspiring” American history focused on national ideals such as liberty and equality under the law. government schools perpetuate it. And that is no less “indoctrination” than what many accuse critical race theorists of when they push for public schools to teach what they think is right.
Indeed, anyone who tries to make public schools teach or not teach something, is supporting government-forced indoctrination.

Critical race theory received a stunning rebuke at the polls in local Texas elections last week in a suburb of Dallas.
“On one side, progressives argued that curriculum and disciplinary changes were needed to make all children feel safe and welcome in Carroll, a mostly white but quickly diversifying school district,” NBC News reported. “On the other, conservatives in Southlake rejected the school diversity plan as an effort to indoctrinate students with a far-left ideology that, according to some, would institutionalize discrimination against white children and those with conservative Christian values.”

Parents began to take over a local school board last weekend with the triumph of two parents who captured seats on a platform to rid classrooms of state-sanctioned racism under the disguise of critical race theory.
Cameron “Cam” Bryan, a civil engineer and father of four, and Hannah Smith, an attorney and mother of four, each picked up seats on the Carroll Independent School District school board in Southlake, Texas, between Dallas and Fort Worth.
“They can’t argue with us,” Bryan said upon victory, branding their win as a community mandate to restore the district’s focus on academic excellence as opposed to leftist indoctrination.
