Bengaluru: The B.S. Yediyurappa-led Karnataka government found itself in a controversy Tuesday with a new sex scandal, allegedly involving Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, coming to light in the state.
A ‘sex CD’ allegedly featuring the minister has surfaced and a complaint filed with the police.
This comes just over a month after Congress leader Prakash Rathod was allegedly found browsing through obscene clips on his mobile phone when the state’s Legislative Council was in session.
In the Jarkiholi case, the Central Division of Bengaluru Police registered a complaint filed by social activist Dinesh Kalahalli, who alleged that sexual favours were sought from the woman in the video by the minister in exchange for a job opportunity.

Bengaluru, Mar 3: Congress workers in Bengaluru on Tuesday staged a protest against Karnataka Irrigation Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi over his alleged involvement in a sexual assault case.
A case was registered against Jarkiholi on Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman.
Addressing reporters, the complainant Dinesh Kallahalli, who is a social activist, said, I have lodged a complaint with police, demanding a probe into a sex scandal involving Ramesh Jarkiholi. The victim woman was offered a job in Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). Upon reaching the pre-decided location, the woman was sexually assaulted and now is being threatened by the Minister and his people, he said.

Karnataka Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi on Wednesday resigned from the state cabinet, following allegations of sexual harassment against him.
