Karnataka: Ban on devotees entry at Kukke temple from December 17-20 | Mangaluru News

Kukke Sri Subrahmanya temple, Karnataka MANGALURU: Devotees will not be allowed to take part in Champa Shashti rituals at Kukke Sri Subrahmanya temple between December 17 and 20. A decision to this effect was taken as a precaution to check Covid-19 spread. Dakshina Kannada DC K V Rajendra said that only those devotees who have registered for Rathotsava Seves in advance will be allowed to take part in the temple rituals like Chouthi, Panchami and Shashti Rathotsava. According to the ban, devotees/ tourists will not be allowed to enter the temple and the ratha beedi premises between December 17 and 20. Those violating the directive will be booked under the provisions of Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Ordinance (2020), said Rajendra, who is also the chairman of district disaster management authority.
