Pepsi and Other Advertisers Back New Content to Lure Binge-Watchers

Television commercials have long been one of the media industry’s surest bets so much so that advertisers around the world dumped a whopping $149 billion on them in 2020, according to estimates from Magna, the large media-buying firm. But Pepsi recently decided to take a gamble on something else.
On Valentine’s Day, the soda giant unveiled a three-story replica of a Las Vegas jackpot machine, the centerpiece of a new game show it’s running with the Fox broadcast network. “Cherries Wild” features Jason Biggs as host, lots of trivia and a Pepsi Wild Moment that lets people at home play along for prizes. The whole show is done in Pepsi colors, says Todd Kaplan, vice president of marketing, and aims to play up Pepsi Wild Cherry, a line extension the company believes has room to grow. No other soda will be allowed to advertise during the show.

KFC has killed two birds with one stone this Christmas with a deluxe gaming system that also keeps your fried chicken warm.
Built in partnership with hardware manufacturer Cooler Master, the KFConsole has a built in chicken chamber for your extra-crispy three-piece.
The system isn t just for show: According to Cooler Master, it can handle VR games and offers a 240 frames-per-second frame rate and 4K display compatibility.
Heat generated by the console will keep chicken warm, while a custom cooling system keeps the device from overheating.

Of course because of COVID-19 it could be a while before a grand opening happens. Nothing has been announced yet.
I have taken enough trips on tour buses to know that this location should be a prime stopping place. The parking lot is marked for bus parking.
Once this virus has been conquered and it is safe to travel people will be anxious to get on the road and go somewhere. I know I am. You can anticipate that the local KFC will vastly increase its business. With the new signage directing visitors to downtown Corbin more visitors will be coming here too.
