(KERO) â A former Lerdo Justice Facility detentions deputy was arrested and charged with four felony counts after it was alleged he had been having sexual relationships with female inmates at the facility.
According to the Kern County Sheriff s Office, Detentions Deputy Brandon Lawrence was charged by the Kern County District Attorney s Office with three counts of sexual activity with an inmate and one count of attempted sexual activity with an inmate.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. â The Kern County Sheriff s Office located a man s body in Southeast Bakersfield Saturday afternoon and are investigating the incident as a homicide.
According to a KCSO press release, deputies located the body in the 3100 block of Weedpatch Highway, shortly before 1 p.m.
The man had wounds on his body and was pronounced dead on scene.
There is no suspect information available at this time.

LAKE ISABELLA, Calif. (KERO) â The Kern County Sheriffâs Office is investigating a homicide in Lake Isabella.
KCSO said deputies were dispatch to Curran Avenue in Lake Isabella where they found a man with trauma to his body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) â The Kern County Sheriffâs Office responded to a suspected homicide after a man was found dead with trauma to his body.
According to KCSO, deputies responded to the area of Acacia and Linden avenues. When they arrived they found the victim and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

KCSO deputy and K9 removed from patrol after biting incident

(KERO) â The Kern County Sheriff s Office is removing an officer and a K9 from their normal patrol due to the dog biting someone, over the weekend.
According to a the sheriff s office, KCSO deputies along with the K9 unit responded to a traffic stop for a stolen vehicle Sunday.
One of the K9s was in the back of a patrol car when another deputy, who was not the dog handler, accidentally let the dog out. The K9 then bit someone on the scene who was taken to the hospital and released.
