COLORADO, USA It will likely be up to school districts to decide if kids will wear masks this upcoming school year. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) issued its guidance for schools and COVID-19 protocols this week.
The department recommends communities with higher rates of transmission and low vaccination rates take heightened COVID precautions like mask wearing, social distancing and regular COVID testing.

Boulder Schools IT Doing Classroom Sweeps for Tech Issues
The IT staff at Colorado s Boulder Valley School District conducts annual summer inspections of computers, projectors, phones, audio and other classroom technology to make sure it s ready when kids return in the fall.
July 15, 2021 • (TNS) The Boulder Valley School District s nine-person IT team, plus two interns, went through each classroom and office at Lafayette s Centaurus High School on Wednesday, testing audio systems, blowing dust out of projectors and checking phones.
Then they moved to Angevine and Louisville middle schools, repeating the process. The team plans to go through each district school before teachers start returning in August.
