Colombo (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services confirmed nine (09) deaths caused by Covid-19 virus infection on Monday (08).
Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 365 and the details of the deceased are as follows;
01.The deceased was a
95-year-old
male from Colombo 15. He died on 05.02.2021 at his residence and the Cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia.
02.The deceased was a
61-year-old
female from Anuradhapura. She was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 virus and transferred from Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura to the Base Hospital Homagama where she died on 08.02.2021 while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit. The Cause of death is mentioned as a shock due to blood poisoning and Heart failure with Covid pneumonia.

Colombo (News 1st); The Director-General of Health Services on Tuesday (19) confirmed three (03) deaths caused by Covid-19 virus infection. Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 273.
01.The deceased is a 68-year-old male from Aranayake. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid-19 virus and transferred from Base Hospital Mawanella to the Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura where he died on 18.01.2021. The
cause of death is mentioned as an acute respiratory tract disease caused by Covid pneumonia.
02.The deceased is a 48-year-old female from Colombo 06. She was diagnosed as infected with Covid-19 virus and transferred from a private hospital in Colombo to Nevil Fernando Hospital where she died on 17.01.2021. The Cause of death is mentioned as a heart attack with Covid-19 virus infection.

With the report of the 674 COVID patients yesterday (27), the total number of COVID patients reported in Sri Lanka exceeded 41,000 to 41,054.
The number of patients associated with Minuwangoda, Peliyagoda and Prisons coronavirus clusters increased to 37,360.
Among the 674 COVID patients that were identified yesterday (27), 174 patients were identified from the Colombo District, while 153 patients were identified from the Gampaha District.
Out of the patients that are identified from Gampaha are 40 inmates from the Mahara Prison and 14 inmates from the Negombo Prison.
From the Colombo District, 17,491 COVID patients were identified since 04 October, while 8,919 patients were identified from the Gampaha District within the same period.
