Small businesses in the tourism and travel industries can now apply for a one-time COVID recovery grant.
Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries Lisa MacLeod says the province is allocating $100-million.
MacLeod says the funding is available to those in the sector that did not receive the Ontario Small Business Support Grant.
That includes travel agents, hotels/motels, resorts, bed and breakfasts and others.
To qualify, businesses must have fewer than 100 employees and demonstrate they have experience a minimum 20% revenue decline between 2019 and 2020.
The payments to those eligible will be $10,000 to $20,000 per business.
The money can be used for anything including hiring additional staff, paying rent or marketing.
