Will AKTU hold online exams? Here s what the university has to say
Several students across the country have been putting forth their demand for the conduct of examinations in online mode ever since the coronavirus pandemic struck the country. They say that offline or physical examinations could pose a risk to their health. Many students of Lucknow s Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University took to social media to protest the forthcoming offline examinations and urged the university to hold exams online.Â
However, the university has decided to go ahead with offline examinations. In a conversation with
India TV Digital, AKTU vice-chancellor Prof Vinay Kumar Pathak said that it was not feasible to conduct the exams online as 90 per cent of the varsity students resided in villages.

To elicit views on higher education under CM@Campus programme
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will interact with students on a host of issues concerning the higher education sector under the CM@Campus programme.
Envisaged on the theme ‘New Kerala, Youthful Kerala and the Future of Higher Education’, the interactive programme is being organised across five universities from February 1. While 200 students representing various disciplines will attend the programme, others can participate through web-conferencing platforms.
The Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) will host the first interaction on February 1.

JEE Main 2021: NTA extends last date of application, check details
The NTA had earlier informed the students that JEE Main 2021 would be held four times this year in the months of February, March, April, and May. The admit cards are generally released four to ten days before the date of the exam. (File image)

JEE Main 2021: In a relief for the students applying for engineering courses this year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has come out with an extension of the last date to apply for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main in 2021. The last date for filling online applications was January 16 but it has been extended and the last date to apply for JEE Main 2021 is now January 24.
