Andrew Nixon / CapRadio Updated 6:07 p.m. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released new guidelines for COVID-19 safety in schools as states continue to reopen either because of increasing vaccination rates or because of mounting pressure from those who disregard the virus’s danger. The CDC on Friday announced that vaccinated students and educators will no longer need to cover their faces in-person on campus, whether indoors or outdoors. Those who aren’t vaccinated should still wear masks, according to the new guidance. 

Cal/OSHA Advances Revised Proposal to Readopt COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standards | Littler

To embed, copy and paste the code into your website or blog: On June 3, 2021, the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board (Standards Board) voted to readopt proposed revisions to the Division of Occupational Safety and Health’s (Cal/OSHA) COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standards (“Revised ETS”).  The Standards Board initially scheduled a vote on proposed changes to the current ETS on May 19, 2021, but deferred to June 3, 2021 to consider then-interim guidance from the CDC and California Health & Human Services.  After the June 3 vote, the proposed revisions were sent to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) for approval.  Once approved, they will take effect no later than June 15.
