The second round of stimulus checks is intended for middle-class residents, in addition to low-income families, Daily News reported. Gavin Newsom made the announcement in a press conference on Monday. The said plan is an effort of the California government to speed up the state s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.  Daily News noted that those who received the first wave of stimulus checks would not be eligible for the second wave.
