Speaking alongside Boris Johnson at a Downing Street press conference yesterday, the chief scientific adviser suggested non-medical interventions , including masks, are likely to continue even if the UK s vaccination drive is successful.
He said: It’s possible that, coming into next winter in particular, certain things may be necessary. Tony Fauci yesterday said in the US that he thought that things like masks may be needed next winter. I think we’re in the same position, that it may be necessary next winter to have things like mask-wearing in certain situations.

Anne Carlsen Center has named Michael Mike Meyer as chief development officer. Meyer joins the organization to lead and serve the development and marketing teams.
Most recently, serving as the managing director of development at North Dakota State University Foundation in Fargo, Meyer brings over 30 years of marketing and fundraising experience along with a strong grasp on managing a development team, said ACC. Although serving Anne Carlsen statewide, he will be officed in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
“Mike brings strong relationship skills and a very caring heart to the role of leading the development team at Anne Carlsen,” said Tim Eissinger, CEO. “He will play a key part as we finalize our capital campaign and prepare to celebrate our 80th anniversary this year. We feel very fortunate to add a person of Mike’s abilities to the Anne Carlsen team.”

Each summer, California Baptist University sends 30-35 teams and more than 300 students on missions throughout the world. The plans changed during 2020, of course, but still included sending the gospel. The time, platform and number of participants may have been different for the Southern Baptist-affiliated school, but the goal of sharing Christ remained the same.
CBU and others have discovered the advantage of virtual mission trips, a new way of taking the gospel to the nations. And while no one is advocating they replace the physical presence of ministry, their benefits are becoming more apparent.
Everyone should wear face masks inside their own home if family members have Covid symptoms or test positive, European health chiefs have said.
People in the same household as someone who has tested positive or has a fever, cough or loss of taste and smell have been advised to wear masks inside their homes by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
Both the person who is sick and everyone else who lives with them should wear a mask or face covering as much as possible, the ECDC said.
The EU agency released a technical report looking into how useful face masks are in preventing the spread of coronavirus.
