Nearly 500 have reportedly signed
Ubisoft employees, both current and former, are signing a letter today calling for action and change, both within their company and others.
Axios reports that close to 500 current and former Ubisoft employees are signing a letter, standing in solidarity with the Activision Blizzard employees that are currently holding a walkout and criticizing their own company.
Activision Blizzard employees filed their own letter to leadership earlier this week, criticizing their response to a lawsuit filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing over alleged discrimination and sexual harassment at the company. Ubisoft has also come under fire for its own reportedly toxic workplace culture.
Organizers have a series of demands that company leadership has not yet responded to.
#ActiBlizzWalkout trended on social media in response to the walkout with over 100,000 tweets.
On Wednesday, Activision Blizzard employees walked out to protest the company’s response to a lawsuit filed last week.
The lawsuit, filed by California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), alleged that the video-gaming company engaged in unfair workplace practices, discriminated against female employees, and failed to take disciplinary action against bad actors.
Activision Blizzard is the holding company whose subsidiaries Activision Publishing and Blizzard Entertainment have published video-game staples like “World of Warcraft,” “Overwatch,” and “Call of Duty.”

Employees at the video game studio Activision Blizzard walked off the job Wednesday following an explosive lawsuit that detailed rampant sexual harassment and gender discrimination inside the California company.
According to a statement of intent published by several news outlets on Tuesday, the group of employees organizing the walkout slammed the company for its initial response to the civil suit. That response largely defended Activision Blizzard and was critical of the state agency that brought the claim.
