The California Department of Motor Vehicles will continue its temporary suspension of behind-the-wheel driving tests until at least January 4. The DMV previously announced a two-week suspension through at least December 28. The DMV is taking this step for the health and safety of customers and employees during the current statewide surge in COVID-19 cases. Customers with scheduled appointments for behind-the-wheel driving tests through January 4 will be notified their tests have been canceled. The DMV will automatically reschedule the tests at a later date, to be announced soon. DMV drive test examiners will be redirected from behind-the-wheel driving tests to assist with other customer transactions.

Tim Hearden Dec 21, 2020 The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has awarded $230,981 for organizations to enhance agricultural education and leadership opportunities under the 2020 California Special Interest License Plate (CalAgPlate) grant program. “Over the last seven years the CalAgPlate program has supported more than $1.4 million in funding for agricultural education,” said CDFA Secretary Karen Ross. “It continues to be a great program that connects and educates school children through activities like ag-focused field trips and school gardens, while also supporting leadership training and career development opportunities.” The CalAgPlate program is funded with proceeds generated through the sale of special interest, agriculture-themed license plates through the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
