Pollard is one of four finalists for the position at Nevada State, a four-year public school with an enrollment of about 5,500 students, according to the school’s website. Another 2,200 students are enrolled in non-credit courses. Nevada State College’s Board of Regents is scheduled to meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday to consider appointing a president. Montgomery College President Dr. DeRionne Pollard. Montgomery College President Dr. DeRionne Pollard is under consideration as a candidate for Nevada State College’s top leadership position. Bart Patterson, the current president of Nevada State, announced that he’s stepping down from his role effective June 30, 2021.
