WASHINGTON Shortly after President-elect Joe Biden’s victory last month, Cabinet hopeful Marcia Fudge pointedly noted that Black people are often typecast into positions such as housing secretary.
As the Electoral College prepares to certify President-elect Joe Biden s victory Monday, only two of the 13 Ohio Republicans (12 congressmen, one senator) in Congress acknowledge him as the winner.
The two are among just 27 congressional Republicans nationwide who say publicly that Biden beat President Donald Trump, per the findings of a Washington Post survey of all 249 Republicans in the House and Senate.
Rep. Steve Stivers said in a Nov. 25 statement: “With yesterday’s certification of many states’ results, it’s evident that President (Donald) Trump has exhausted the due process offered to all candidates. I offer my congratulations to President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect (Kamala) Harris.

More than seven in 10 Republicans think it s likely that President Trump returns in 2024 for another presidential run, a new poll has found.
The Politico/Morning Consult survey released Wednesday, taken Dec. 4-6 and surveying 1,990 registered voters, found that 75% of Republicans think Donald Trump will return. In an interesting finding, 60% of independent voters and 47% of Democrats also think Trump is likely to make another run.
Trump recently hinted that a 2024 run could be in his plans. It s been an amazing four years. We re trying to do another four years, otherwise, I ll see you in four years, he said at a White House Christmas party.
