Home Instead Senior Care seeks to hire in-home CAREGivers in Victorville

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to overwhelm healthcare professionals and keep unemployment numbers elevated, the Home Instead Senior Care network is looking to hire 50 CAREGivers in Victorville and the Inland Empire.
“The demand for home care has grown exponentially over the last several years, and it continues to grow as more seniors isolate because of the pandemic,” said Brandi Johnson, owner of the Home Instead office in Victorville.
Johnson said during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, professional caregivers can serve as an extension of the healthcare system and play a critical role in keeping vulnerable seniors safe and healthy at home.

As the California Employment Development Department deals with issues of fraud and works to confirm legitimate EDD recipient identities, some EDD recipients have had trouble accessing their payments.

SACRAMENTO, California Gov. Gavin Newsom has appointed a new leader to the state s Employment Development Department (EDD).
Rita L. Saenz, 71, is the new director of EDD, Newsom s office announced Wednesday. Saenz was most recently a consultant at Saenz and Associates.
Newsom said Saenz is taking on the job at one of the most difficult moments in the Department’s history, pointing to a record number of unemployment claims and fraud during the COVID-19 pandemic.
