SAN FRANCISCO, CA .-The Contemporary Jewish Museum today announced that Chad Coerver has been named Executive Director. Coerver currently serves as the Chief Education and Community Engagement Officer at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), where he developed a creative and human-centered approach to expanding audiences, enhancing the visitor experience, and increasing access to the museum. Coerver will begin in his new role at The CJM on September 1, 2021. “Museums must evolve to reach audiences where they are — this has become ever more clear in the last 18 months.
