Chadwick Boseman received a posthumous Best Actor nod as the nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards were announced on Monday.
The actor, who died from colon cancer aged 43 in August 2020, was recognised for his role in Ma Rainey s Black Bottom.
The Black Panther star is nominated alongside Gary Oldman for Mank, Anthony Hopkins for The Father, Riz Ahmed for Sound of Metal, and Steven Yeun for Minari.

Chadwick has already won a Critics Choice Award, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role as trumpet player Levee Green in the film - which tells the tale of an influential blues singer (Viola Davis) and a turbulent recording session in 1920s Chicago.
