More pizzas, curries and snacks are winging their way to stranded truckers courtesy of Gravesend s Sikh community and Domino s Pizza.
Hundreds of HGV drivers are currently stuck in Operation Stack which has seen queues of lorries on the M20 and at Manston Airport.

The Sikhs (followers of Sikhism) are considered to be among the most generous people in the UK, according to a BBC study. Now, in their latest charity effort, the community in UK has responded to the plight of thousands of truck workers stranded in Dover after France shut down its border.
The Sikh community in Gravesend, Kent got together to prepare fresh hot meals for thousands of drivers. Volunteers from the Guru Nanak Darbar in Gravesend they have whipped up at least 800 meals, including curry and pasta for the hungry and starnded truckers.

The closure of the French borders has resulted in lorries getting stacked on the coastbound stretch of the M20. With no eateries or provisions nearby, the drivers are having to spend all their time on the road or at Manston airport. But now, they have received help from the Sikh community in Kent.

London: British Sikh charity Khalsa Aid has been delivering hundreds of hot meals to truckers stranded as the border with France was sealed to try and contain a new fast-spreading variant of coronavirus in England earlier in the week.
While the ban has since been lifted by France on the condition of a negative coronavirus test, the backlog of over 1,500 lorries with an estimated 10,000 truckers stranded for days in Kent will take days before they can get to their destinations.
