MAYFIELD, Ky. (KFVS) - A doctor from Paducah was killed in a plane crash in Mayfield on Monday evening, February 22.
Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden identified the pilot who died as 60-year-old Dr. Henry Babenco of Paducah.
On Monday, February 22 at 4:55 p.m. deputies from the Graves County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a plane crash near the Mayfield/Graves County Airport.
Investigators said the plane crashed in a field near the intersection of Twin Hill Road and Spence Chapel Road, just north of Interstate 69.

MAYFIELD, Ky. (KFVS) - The Graves County Sheriffâs Office reports tow trucks cannot get to some vehicles in ditches until the roadways thaw.
According to Chief Deputy Jeremy Prince, officers are using caution tape to mark vehicles that need to stay on the side of the road or in ditches until a tow truck can get to them. The tape signifies an officer checked on the vehicle and made sure no one is inside.

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A Graves County Sheriffâs Office sergeant was injured when a car lost control on an icy road and hit a cruiser.
According to the Graves County Sheriffâs Office, at around 11:30 p.m. on February 10, Sgt. Richard Edwards and Deputy Ben Doran were investigating a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 69 southbound near the 21 mile marker.

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A Mayfield, Kentucky man was arrested for kidnapping after someone made a welfare complaint about an individual possibly in a dangerous domestic situation.
Chad Jones, 48, was taken into custody on Tuesday, February 2 on kidnapping (adult) and wanton endangerment first degree charges.
According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, a preliminary investigation showed that Jones had pointed a gun at the victim, put the gun in their mouth and forced them into a vehicle.
