Before she accepted a swimming scholarship to attend Boston’s Northeastern University, Ottawa’s Rachael Geiger made sure it had the kind of nursing program she wanted. The school’s baccalaureate nursing program offered a fifth year of co-operative placement after four years of study something Geiger thought would leave her well prepared for a career as a nurse when she returned home after university.

TORONTO The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is investigating after two nurses from the province travelled to Washington D.C. to allegedly participate in an anti-lockdown event preceding the Capitol Hill riot last week. In videos posted to social media by the group, Nurses Against Lockdowns” the women are seen addressing the crowd at the “Global Frontline Nurses” summit in Washington DC, an event that was scheduled to take place in front of the U.S. Supreme Court just hours before a group of rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol building, breaking windows and tearing through the offices of elected officials.
