TUSCALOOSA, Ala. After Florida football’s loss at home to a 4-5 LSU team on Saturday night, both fans and media members alike began to express that Alabama’s upcoming matchup against the Gators in the SEC Championship Game was a sure win for the Crimson Tide.
But don’t tell that rat poison to the members of the Alabama defense.
Kirk Herbstreit Thinks 1 CFB Is “60 Minutes Away” From Playoff

On Tuesday night, the latest College Football Playoff Rankings were released without very much change at the top.
Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson and Ohio State all held their spots as the top four teams in the latest playoff rankings. Almost all are locked into the playoff at this point.
ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit noted that one of those teams is just 60 minutes away from a playoff berth. Herbie said that if Ohio State takes down Northwestern this weekend, the Buckeyes will be in the playoff.
Can the Cajuns Play in a Major Bowl?
What are the chances that the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns will play in a New Year s Six bowl game this year?
They re probably a little better than you think.
New Year s Six bowl games consist of the Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Cotton Peach, Peach Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl.
With those six games, obviously, 12 teams are selected each football season for these major, top tier bowls.
Officially, the champions of the Power Five conferences, including the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big XII, and Pac-12, are required to be included.
Most, if not all, of the at-large teams, will be made up of Power Five schools, but the conference champions are the only ones guaranteed.

If your primary interest in the college football rankings this week is to analyze the conference championship or College Football Playoff contenders, there won t be too much from Week 15 or the adjustments to the AP Top 25 that will draw your attention.
The SEC Championship will still be decided between Alabama and Florida, even though the Gators lost to LSU on Saturday night. The ACC, Big 12 and Big Ten championships were already set before a single snap on Saturday, and of the six competitors, only Northwestern was in action. The most drama we had was in the Pac-12, but even that championship race comes with a very 2020 twist as the Pac-12 North was awarded to Washington over Oregon when the two teams were scheduled to play this weekend and had the game canceled.

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - Even after last week’s historic home win over BYU, things aren’t slowing down for Coastal Carolina football.
Not by a long shot.
The No. 11 Chanticleers put their unbeaten record on the line at Troy on Saturday in a game that was postponed from mid-November. Since then, the Chants have locked up a spot in the Sun Belt Championship Game, moved on up in national polls and rankings; not to mention gaining national attention with “College GameDay” on campus.
