TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Co-founding partner of the Gallagher and Kennedy law firm and a key figure in Arizona professional sports, Michael K. Kennedy died on Tuesday, Feb. 9, he was 70.
Governor Doug Ducey issued the following statement on his passing.
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of Michael Kennedy a philanthropist and personal friend who was a tireless champion for the community that was his home. Mike left a lasting impression on everyone he met including me. He was devoted to serving our community and helping those in need. For years, he dedicated his time to youth, conservation, education and numerous other charitable causes.

Following the news of his passing, Gov. Doug Ducey said he considered Kennedy, a key figure in Arizona professional sports, a personal friend who was a tireless champion for the community that was his home.
