A driver allegedly jumped out of a moving car on Interstate 495, witnesses told Maryland State Police.

Troopers from the College Park Barrack rushed to the outer loop of I-495 at Route 450 in College Park after receiving multiple calls about a body in the roadway.

Maryland State Police are investigating an incident where a man was found lying in the travel portion of I-495 after allegedly jumping out of a vehicle.
The man involved in the incident is identified as Mahmoud Diop, 30, of Washington, D.C.
Diop was transported by ambulance to the Prince George’s Hospital Center for medical treatment. Police are investigating whether impairment contributed to the incident.
Shortly before 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 15, 2021, Troopers from the College Park Barrack responded to the outer loop of 495 at Route 450 in College Park, after numerous calls were received reporting a body lying in the roadway.

Maryland State Police are investigating a pedestrian crash that killed one person late last night in Prince George’s County.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene and transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy. The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Just before midnight on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, troopers from the College Park Barrack responded to northbound I-495 at Kenilworth Avenue for the report of a pedestrian struck in the roadway. Upon arrival, troopers and EMS personnel from Prince George’s County Fire Department located the pedestrian, the vehicle involved, and a witness to the incident.
