Educational Institutions to be reopened soon: Dr Dipu Moni 241 said all the educational institutes will be reopened as soon as possible and that’s why priority basis vaccination programme is underway for teachers and students. “Vaccination programme is being carried out under priority basis for the teachers and it is also planned for students…then no barriers will remain to reopening the educational institutions,” she told the virtual vice-chancellor award distribution ceremony here. “We were forced to shut down the educational institutions across the country for long time due to coronavirus pandemic, the minister said, adding, “we have a plan to reopen these soon.”

Curriculum being modified to improve standard of education: Dipu Moni 273 File Photo DHAKA, Jan 31, 2021 (BSS) – Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said the curriculum for students is being modified to improve the standard of education. “In this regard, the government is giving significant importance on ICT education and technical-based education including infrastructural development and training for teachers,” she said. She was speaking at an inaugural ceremony of imparting training of the master-trainers of the primary school teachers’ on English subject as the chief guest at a city hotel. Putting emphasis on giving training to teachers, she said training is very much important for teachers as the condition of students, who are studying English as a mandatory subject, is not satisfactory.

Educational institutions to reopen if situation improves in February: PM Reiterating her call to countrymen to maintain health guidelines properly to contain COVID-19, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said the government would reopen the educational institutions if the Coronvirus situation improves in February. “. . . We would watch the situation in February. If the state in February remains well then we will reopen the educational institutions on a limited scale,” she said. The premier was addressing the results handover and publishing ceremony of HSC and equivalent examinations at International Mother Language Institute, joining virtually from her official residence Ganabhaban here this morning.

HSC, equivalent results Saturday The results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams of 2020 will be published on early Saturday. The results will be officially announced at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka’s Segunbagicha at 10:30am. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will join the programme through video conference from Ganabhaban, said the education ministry. The HSC results were evaluated based on the students’ Junior School Certificate (JSC), and Secondary School Certificate SSC results as no exam was held considering the Covid-19 situation. The results will be published after coordinating 75 percent of the SSC and 25 percent from the JSC and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) results, said Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni recently.
