New Delhi, March 3 : Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday flagged off the Siddhabali Jan Shatabdi Express Special Train that will run between Kotdwar in Uttarakhand and Delhi junction.
The Minister said that Rs 4,432 crore has been allocated to Uttarakhand for the railway projects in the Budget 2021-22, which is almost 23 times than the average Budget of 2009-14.
Goyal flagged off the train via video conferencing here, along with Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and several other senior officers.
Speaking on the occasion, Goyal said that Kotdwar-Delhi route electrification is almost complete, and only 15 km stretch is pending which is expected to be completed by this month.

Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) on Wednesday, March 03, 2021, made special arrangements at the Vice Chancellor s office for teachers and officers of the university to attend a webinar on Harnessing education, Research and Skill Development for Atmánirbhar Bharat organised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
JMI Vice-Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar, Registrar Dr Nazim Husain-Al Jafri, teachers and officers of the university watched the live streaming of the inaugural address by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, valedictory address by the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and other sessions of the webinar.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains February session successfully concluded on Friday for admission to engineering colleges in the country. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank informed that the JEE Main 2021 first phase saw a 95 percent attendance. Happy to note that the attendance in JEE first phase exam was 95%. I hope NTA will conduct the exam successfully in the future also, he said in a tweet.
This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) commenced the JEE Main 2021 from February 23. The exam was conducted in 13 languages Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, English and Gujarati.
