Bianka Solorzano is one of those students. Solorzano attended St. John River State College for her first two years then transferred Florida International University where she is studying biology with a pre-med track.

The Bright Futures Scholarship Program, which is primarily funded by the Florida Lottery, was created in 1997 by the Florida Legislature to assist students in pursuing postsecondary educational and career goals. Since the programâs inception, the Lottery has contributed more than $6.2 billion to send over 880,000 students to college.
Ryan Davalos is one of those students. Davalos says the program has helped him focus on his education. He attends Florida Gulf Coast University where he is studying to become a physician.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â The Florida Lottery said a 38-year-old woman in Tallahassee claimed a $500,000 top prize from the PAY ME! Scratch-Off game.
She purchased her winning ticket from My Neighborhood Meat Market, located at 617 West 4
th Avenue in Tallahassee.
âThis was the surprise of my life,â she said to Florida Lottery. âI love playing Scratch-Offs as a way to unwind at the end of a busy day, but when I saw I won $500,000 I couldnât contain my excitement!â
The $5 game, PAY ME!, launched in February and features over $58 million in total cash prizes. The gameâs overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.98.

MIDDLEBURG, Fla. A Middleburg woman is nearly $1 million richer after striking gold with a lucky scratch-off.
The woman purchased the Billion Dollar Gold Rush Supreme ticket at a BP store on Blanding Boulevard in Middlebrook, according to the Florida Lottery. The ticket revealed she had won the $1 million prize.
She opted to go for the lump-sum payment of $880,000, the Florida Lottery said. The BP store that sold the ticket also received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the lucky ticket.
