Man flown to hospital after stabbing at Ithaca home; police investigate Updated Feb 18, 2021; City of Ithaca, N.Y. A man stabbed at an Ithaca home on Wednesday evening is expected to survive. The man was stabbed in the torso shortly after 6 p.m. at a home in the 400 block of Cascadilla Street, the Ithaca Police Department said. He was treated on scene by Bangs Ambulance and Ithaca firefighters before being airlifted to a hospital, police said. The department has not released the man’s age. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said. Investigators do not believe the stabbing was a random act of violence. While the wounded man was not immediately able to describe his attacker, police said investigators believe the victim and the suspect know each other.
