New art fair at Stony Creek Metropark could be a roaring success
Jayney Payne-Short’s artwork features some clay mosaic pieces.
Artwork by Richard Franz, of West Bloomfield, will be a part of the art fair at Stony Creek Metropark July 24-25.
Kandy Myny, of Shelby Township, will feature mixed media artwork.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP The Stony Creek Metropark Art Fair, a brand-new fair that combines fine art by artists from across the country with the park’s beautiful scenery, will make its debut at the park’s Baypoint Beach July 24 and 25 in Shelby Township.
Updated: 11:58 PM EDT Jul 17, 2021 Lauren Lee State police are investigating a murder-suicide in Butler County Saturday. According to a press release, officers responded to the West Sunbury Cemetery in Clay Township for reports of a suicidal male. Upon arrival, officers found a person dead by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officers have identified the man as Charles Smith, 46, of Evans City. Around the same time, state police responded to a second deceased male at 131 Hillvue Lane in Forward Township. Officers identified the victim as Terry Bolan, 39, of Evans City, PA. Through an investigation, it was determined that Smith shot Bolan prior to fleeing the cemetery and taking his own life, according to state police. The incident was reported around 1:15-2:15 p.m.
