A visit from a VIP and a garden party were among the events organised to celebrate carers. It came as residents and staff at Trinity Manor care home in Sherborne marked National Carers’ Week. Residents wanted to thank all the staff at the home, whose hard work and dedication make a real difference to the lives of those living in their care – especially during the pandemic. Carers Week is an annual event to raise awareness of caring, highlighting the challenges carers face, and recognising the contribution they make to our residents, families and communities throughout the UK. As part of the celebrations at Trinity Manor, the Mayor of Sherborne Anne Hall visited for afternoon tea, and thanked staff for all of their efforts, especially after the difficult year that they have had with lockdown.
