Officials with the Governor s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) and the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) will host a Zoom Town Hall next week aimed at educating citizens about the COVID-19 vaccines.
The Town Hall, called Vaccination Conversation, will be held Tuesday, February 9, at 1 p.m. It s designed to connect anyone who is concerned about the COVID-19 vaccine with healthcare experts who can provide information about the vaccines and how the strategies for their distribution will impact participants.
Vaccination Conversation will feature presentations by State Health Officer and Interim Assistance Secretary for the Louisiana Office of Public Health Dr. Joseph Kanter and Ginger Hunt, a Nurse Practitioner Specialist and the founder of a nonprofit network of 11 Federally Qualified Health Centers across five parishes.
